Auntie Jo was my Great-Aunt. As a child, I spent many summer days swimming in the lake at their place in Morris. I have a vague memory (and pictures) of when we used to go out there and it was just their garage on the propery! We loved it there, fishing and playing. Uncle Jim and Auntie Jo were the most peaceful and kind people I have ever met. Auntie Bea, Uncle Jim's sister, lived up the road from them and she and I were pen pals for years. She was also so very sweet and patient. I was so lucky to have those times and such wonderful memories. I hope that they are all together now, sitting peacefully on the back porch looking out across the lake.

I knew Jo for only a few years prior to her moving from the Goose Lake area to live with her daughter. She was a woman of prayer. When we first came to Faith Baptist Church of Goose Lake, Jim and Jo were the only couple to actually take my wife and I aside and not only pray for us but to tell us that they would keep praying. When ever she visited or I would visit her home she would remind me that she prayed that morning for Jane, I and the Ministry. Not only as a her former Pastor, but as a brother and sister in the Lord Jesus Jane and I know Jo will be greatly missed. Earth has lost another great Prayer warrior and Heaven has gained another great Christian lady.

Jane and I would like to extend our condolences to the family of Jo Adam. It was our privilege, honor and blessing to have known her while I pastored Faith Baptist Church of Goose Lake. She was what Jane and I call a "real Lady" of class, dignity and honor. Her and Jim brightened the Ministry at Faith in more ways than many will ever know.

In Christ's Love,

Pastor Jim and Jane Lynn
